Install LanJAM
Getting LanJAM running at home involves a couple of technical steps — but we've made it as simple as we can. If you can copy and paste a command, you can do this.
Your computer will need to be reasonably modern to run AI models locally. Check the hardware requirements if you're not sure.

What you'll need
LanJAM uses two free tools that you'll install before running the setup command.
Docker
Docker runs LanJAM's services in isolated containers on your computer. Think of it like a box that keeps everything neatly contained — easy to install, easy to remove.
Ollama
Ollama runs AI models on your own hardware. It's what makes LanJAM completely private — your conversations never leave your home.
