Starting & Managing Conversations
Starting a new conversation
On the Conversations page, you will see a text box at the bottom. Type your message and press Enter (or click the send button). LanJAM creates a new conversation and sends your message to the AI.
You can also click the + New Chat button to start a fresh conversation.
Conversation titles
When you send your first message, the AI automatically suggests a title based on what you asked about. You can change this at any time:
- Open the conversation.
- Click the pencil icon next to the title at the top.
- Type a new name and press Enter to save.
Archiving conversations
If you want to tidy up your conversation list without deleting anything:
- Open a conversation.
- Click the three-dot menu (top-right of the chat).
- Select Archive.
Archived conversations are hidden from the main list. To see them, click the Archive filter button on the conversations page. You can unarchive them at any time.
Deleting conversations
- Click the three-dot menu in a conversation.
- Select Delete Chat.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleted conversations cannot be recovered. All messages and linked files are permanently removed.
Undoing the last message
Made a mistake? In any conversation, you can undo the last exchange (your message and the AI's response) by clicking the undo button in the three-dot menu. This removes both messages so you can try again.
Bulk actions
On the conversations page, click Edit to enter selection mode. Tick the boxes next to multiple conversations, then use the toolbar to archive or delete them all at once.
