Logging In

The login screen

When you visit LanJAM, you will see a grid showing all the family members who have accounts. Simply click on your name to start logging in.

Entering your passcode

After clicking your name, a box appears asking for your passcode. Type it in and click Login. If the passcode is correct, you will be taken straight to your conversations.

Forgotten passcodes

There is no "forgot passcode" button — since LanJAM runs on your home network, the family admin can reset your passcode for you. Just ask them to go to Admin > Users and reset it from there.

Disabled accounts

If your name appears greyed out with "Disabled" shown underneath, the admin has temporarily disabled your account. This means you cannot sign in until the admin re-enables it. Have a chat with them to sort it out.

Staying signed in

Once you log in, LanJAM remembers you for a long time (up to 6 months by default). You should not need to enter your passcode every time you visit — just click your name and you are in. If you want to sign out, click your name in the top-right corner and select Logout.
